We met in 2015 while we were both serving at Blue Ridge International for Christ in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. We dated for some time, and were married in December of 2016. We knew from the beginning that at some point we wanted to do mission work together! We began praying specifically that an opportunity would come up some time after we would have our third child. So when we were asked to join JRM at the exact time we had been praying about, it didn’t take us long to say yes! Life in Jamaica has held both good times and hard times, but it has been the most fulfilling thing that we have ever done as a family. We’re so thankful to God for bringing us here!

Hi, I’m Mike, and I was born in northern Indiana, the fourth of eight children. When I was 9 years old, my family moved to southern Michigan, where I have lived up until moving to Jamaica. Growing up, I loved hunting, camping, riding four wheelers… anything having to do with being outdoors or going fast. I love adventure, and dream of traveling the world with my family.

Hello! My name is Janell, and I was born and raised in Millersburg, OH. I have three brothers and am right in the middle along with my twin brother. I enjoy cooking from scratch, having quality conversations with friends over coffee, camping, and spending time with family. I also dream of homesteading someday. Mission work is something that has always been close to my heart, so being able to work with JRM feels like a dream true, and I’m so thankful for this opportunity!
