Why do bad things happen to innocent children? Why are children born into difficulty; some of it so bad that we can’t adequately describe it? Babies are left in dumpsters, left beside the road in garbage bags, or left alone inside a house all day…abandoned, afraid, hungry and crying…and yet no one comes for them. Eventually, they just don’t cry anymore. Again, why do children, who can’t care for themselves, have to suffer such unspeakable and damaging trauma?

And then…why was I NOT born into a situation like this? Why was I born into a safe Christian home, with loving, nurturing parents and plenty of food, in a country that is overflowing with blessings and opportunity?

I didn’t choose, and neither did they. I did nothing to deserve it, and neither did they! I don’t have the answers, but these questions are THE WHY, the REASON, we do what we do in Jamaica. I/We are SO BLESSED! It is out of pure gratitude that we love, honor, worship, and serve The Father by loving and serving these children and families on our quest to eradicate the need for children’s homes, and more importantly grow His Kingdom!! I believe that amid aaaaall the adversities these children go through, there is a beautiful opportunity for transformation. Being aware of these adversities is important. But more than that, it is a huge call to action!! Together we can show Jesus to these little ones in a way that none of us can do alone! Together we can be the hands & feet of Jesus for the children in Jamaica!

Thank you to those of you who have joined our family already! And to those of you who haven’t yet, I invite you to join us as we step into this opportunity to love and care for the hearts of these children, and transform their lives! Because every child deserves a safe and loving place to belong!
